Faith Hieblinger , Acrylic, Oil, & Wax PainterArtist statement
Using complementary colour and sweeping line helps to create the storms and winter scenes that interject their beauty in momentary fury. I am fascinated and hold great wonder and respect for weather, especially in its most powerful moods. I have found that working in a combination of oil, natural beeswax and resins adds a transparency that is both honest and intimate. Through nature, I seek to capture the joy and contentment of life amongst the storms of love and loss. Artist Bio Faith Hieblinger participates in exhibitions as curator, juror and artist throughout South Western Ontario and is an Award winner for excellence in heritage arts and two-time nominee for the Kitchener Waterloo Arts Award. She held a position as Executive Director for a national heritage site producing art exhibits, reviews for magazines and books, essays for art catalogues, and lectures. She studied Business at Wilfred Laurier University and has a fine art studio degree from University of Waterloo. |
