‘‘My art comes from within me. It is a reflection of who I am as an individual. My art reflects my quest for balance and harmony with myself, others and nature as in nurture.’’ Dominique's work is concerned with the relations with the environment and its impact on us and all living things. Dominique has been preoccupied with earthiness and groundedness as everything exists in a correlation with humans and nature. Dominique is both an assemblage artist and acrylic painter. Dominique's work is contemporary and fun in approach. Her work is organic and warm, let it be through her loose floral interpretations, her abstract landscape painting, her assemblage work on birch panels or her driftwood sculptures. Dominique works from her home studio in New Dundee Ontario with an attached workshop with all the power tools. |
