Jax Rula is an award winning fibre artist specializing in creating art dolls representing ancient deities and mythic characters. Jax has been creating dolls since 2005. Her work can be seen at several galleries around Southern Ontario including The Art District Gallery in Kitchener and the Silo Weavers in St. Jacobs. Jax was recently featured in the Grand Magazine’s 10th anniversary edition for her project: A Grand Fabrication; Truth, Tales and Art of a Heritage River which focuses on dolls that personify the Grand River watershed region historically as well as geographically.
